MyWay Mobile Storage is pleased be a part of the REALTORS® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh’s (RAMP) Curb Appeal Day project. On June 10th, RAMP’s Community Service Committee is heading out into the community to enhance the curb appeal of homes of five or six local senior citizens who aren’t able to do the work themselves. MyWay Mobile Storage is donating several flats of flowers to brighten up the yards.
“This has become one of our favorite REALTORS® Reaching Out Events,” said Alice Vaday, RAMP Community Service Committee co-chair, “Curb appeal” is the visual attractiveness of a house as seen from the street.” Vaday continued, “As the real estate industry pertains to homeownership, this is a perfect way for us to help those homeowners who may be struggling to maintain their own home due to financial or physical shortcomings.”
Ed Sickmund, MyWay Mobile Storage Market Owner and RAMP Affiliate member said, “MyWay is happy to be able to support this terrific event. We know that not everyone can do their own gardening anymore. This Saturday morning blitz will not only give some seniors the splash of color and curb appeal they want, but it will be a fun and festive morning for the volunteers.”
“The recipients of our work are residents of the Pittsburgh region who have a demonstrated need of assistance with basic home maintenance,” said William Russo, RAMP Community Service Committee co-chair. “In Service of Seniors, a Community Partnership component of Family Services of Western Pennsylvania, identifies the seniors who could benefit from our help.” Russo noted, “We welcome any donations to help with Curb Appeal Day: flowers, mulch, tools, or some ‘green,’ cash, that is, to buy supplies.”
