MyWay Mobile Storage Helps BAMP with “Touchdown for Homes” Service Project
MyWay Mobile Storage is helping the Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh (BAMP) with their 2012 “Touchdown for Homes” community service project. BAMP is partnering with the local former NFL players in a week-long home improvement project to benefit Marine Sergeant Joshua Caskey. Sgt. Caskey was wounded while serving his second tour of duty in Iraq when a building he was in was attacked by a car full of explosives. He received shrapnel wounds and sustained a massive brain injury from the explosion which he is still recovering from.
MyWay Mobile Storage of Pittsburgh is providing four storage units to the project. Ed Sickmund, MyWay market owner said, “MyWay is honored to be a part of this project. It’s a terrific way to give back to a veteran who has given so much to our country.”
Touchdown for Homes is a new community service initiative of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the National Football League Players Association. The programs purpose is to bring together local home builders and former NFL players to help provide homes for families in need. The work is performed by local NAHB affiliated organizations, like BAMP and volunteers who want to give back to the community. The project is being completed the week of August 20, 2012.
The containers that MyWay is able to provide will bring the much needed on site storage to the project to help store materials and belongings during the project. MyWay Mobile Storage has always believed in support our troops and offers a 15% discount to military veterans.
