MyWay Mobile Storage Donates Portable Storage Containers to 2012 Silopanna Music Festival
The inaugural Silopanna Music Festival took place on Saturday August, 11th at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds in Crownsville, MD. The festival featured over 20 national and local bands including headliners; CAKE, Citizen Cope, G.Love & Special Sauce, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, J. Roddy Walston and the Business and Jimmie’s Chicken Shack. The Rams Head Group hosted the event and it is estimated that over 5,000 people attended. MyWay Mobile Storage of Baltimore was glad to be able to donate portable storage containers to help provide storage for the event.
“We had two MyWay Storage units for our music festival, and they really came in handy. The spacious units were great for us to store our inventory and supplies and helped make the day go smoothly. The MyWay staff was also great in delivering and placing the storage units” says Nick Sfakiyanudis of the Silopanna Music Festival.
Last year’s event was forced to cancel due to the high winds and rain of Hurricane Irene. The 2012 festival carried on with only a minor hitch. The people in attendance were able to enjoy the music, food from DC areas truck vendors, free yoga sessions and cold beverages. The crowd barely missed a beat in the festivities as a passing thunderstorm down poured on event-goers during Citizen Cope’s set, which only forced them to stop briefly.
Proceeds from the festival went to Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians, a non-profit organization created to provide temporary financial relief to professional Annapolis musicians who cannot work.
